In celebration of the upcoming 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy, technicially not arriving until December 18, 2012, Square-Enix has launched an official website outlining the franchise’s achievements over the years. While predictably sparse, the website does offer fans a few interesting features; I’d personally rather see an announcement for a new game, but I’ll take what I can get!
The first notable feature is a discography that outlines each title in the series with a short description and screenshots, all set alongside a “series biography” that details each release over the years. More notable is the MogNet feature, a simple blog that will see an unidentified moogle post hints and tips concerning the games with the potential for other characters to take part as well.
The content on the site is tied together with a community area that uses RSS to bring together feeds of Final Fantasy chatter throughout the social media realms of Facebook and Twitter.
