In what looks to be a modern yet old school RPG title, Final Fantasy Dimensions, set for a summer 2012 release for Android and Apple iOS devices, gives gamers old and new something to be excited for.

Dimensions represents Final Fantasy’s first foray onto Android devices and follows Final Fantasy III and IV for iOS, offering gameplay reminiscent of the first six titles in the series. The hands-on comments that originated at last week’s E3 conference spoke of a highly polished game with excellent touchscreen controls, all taking place over a well-written script that brings back the forces of darkness and light, crystals, Cid, chocobos and more.
